Why trending toys belong in specialist shops

Squishies are soft toys you squeeze that slowly return to their shape. Kids show them in videos, swap them and collect them. For a toy shop they are a typical entry-level item that children like to choose themselves, and a reason to come back whenever a new shape appears.

In a gift shop, the same items play a different role: a small present for a child’s birthday party, a filler for a school starter cone or an extra next to a bigger gift. Serving both occasions keeps sales going all year.

The most requested items to start with

Display: let customers touch

Squishies sell through the hand. An unpacked sample at the till or on a table by the entrance shows at once what they are about, with the packed stock right beside it. Gift shops can sort them by colour or theme, for example all food shapes together.

Seasonal business: Christmas, Easter, back to school

For gift items, the Christmas season matters most. New in the range is the Dumpling Advent Calendar, with German or English packaging. Packaging information and ordering

Age recommendations and warnings are printed on each item’s packaging. Check them before selling and point them out to parents where needed. We deliberately do not give our own age information on this page. What we can provide on request is the CE declaration of conformity and the test reports for each item.

You can order once you have registered as a dealer with a business registration or commercial register extract; approval usually takes 1–2 working days. Goods ship across Germany by DHL for €9.99, usually within 24–48 hours, and to other EU countries with shipping terms agreed beforehand. Collection in Mettmann is free.
