Who buys squishies?

The main buyers are children and teenagers. Many know squishies from short videos where they are squeezed, stretched and compared. They often come into the shop knowing exactly what they want and ask for a specific type, such as a butter squishy or one of the crunchy versions.

The second group are parents, grandparents and friends looking for a small gift. For them, a modest price and gift-ready packaging matter. Some adults also use squishies as a stress ball at their desk; the Apple Stress Squishy in our range is one example.

Placement: start at the counter

The counter is the best spot. Customers wait there for a moment, have a hand free and look at what is in front of them. Children see the display at their eye level, and parents often decide on the spot.

A proven approach is one unwrapped sample per type that customers may squeeze, with the packed stock right next to it. Replace the sample as soon as it looks worn; a grubby sample puts people off rather than drawing them in.

In toy shops, a second spot near the entrance or next to small toys is worth it. In a convenience store, the display belongs on the counter next to chewing gum and gummies.

The display: full, tidy, easy to see

Many squishies come in cases of 12, for example the Butter Squishy 113 g, the Spinner Ball and the Squishy Cubes. For many items, the case itself can be set up on the counter, which saves time when restocking.

A display only sells when it looks full. Two last pieces in a half-empty box look like leftovers. Top up in time, or combine leftovers from several types into one mixed area.

A fixed order by type helps, for example butter on the left, crunchy in the middle, dumpling on the right. Customers find what they asked for faster, and you see at a glance which row will run out first.

Check the age information and warnings on the packaging and place the display so that small children cannot reach it unsupervised. If you need the CE declaration of conformity or a test report for an item for your records, we send it on request.

Range mix: butter, crunchy, dumpling, seasonal

Butter squishies are the core of the range. The Butter Squishy 113 g and the pink version of the same size (both RRP €4.99) are the entry point, while the large 400 g versions in yellow and pink catch the eye. See the full choice under butter squishy wholesale.

Crunchy and crispy squishies follow the trend towards squishies with a crispy look. Designs include a ball, unicorn, dino, cheese, carrot, corn and a spiral. With so many shapes, they suit customers who like to collect. An overview is on our crunchy squishy wholesale page.

Dumpling squishies such as the Squishy Dumpling Glitter 8.5 cm, the LED version or the multicoloured Mini Dumpling add a third look to the display. Round it off with Squishy Cubes (RRP €5.99), the Spinner Ball (RRP €5.99) and the Squishy Toy Medium.

A good rule of thumb for getting started: one case of butter, one or two crunchy designs, one dumpling item and one seasonal item. Customers see straight away that you have a choice, and you quickly learn which style sells in your shop.

Reorder before the display runs empty

Squishies thrive on new arrivals. New items are added at MDH all the time; at the end of October 2026, for example, a large batch of new squishies arrived, including the dumpling advent calendar.

Set a fixed routine, such as once a week: what is nearly gone, and what has not moved for weeks? Reorder what sells and replace slow movers with a new design. That keeps the display interesting for regular customers.

With no minimum order value, you can reorder a single case. Delivery across Germany usually takes 24–48 hours, EU-wide delivery is arranged with you per order; if you are near Mettmann, you can collect for free.

Social media in your own shop

Squishies are ideal for short videos. Film new stock as you unpack it, or show in a few seconds how a new design feels when squeezed. A short clip with your shop name and location tells nearby customers where to find it.

Feel free to ask customers which design they have seen. When several people ask for the same item, that is a good signal for your next order.

Christmas season: plan now

From November, customers look for small gifts and stocking fillers. For this season MDH offers the Christmas Butter Squishy, the Grinch Dumpling Squishy, the Christmas Cube, the Reindeer Cube Squishy, the Xmas Tree Squishy and the Merry Christmas Heads, among others.

New this year is the Dumpling Advent Calendar with 24 doors, available with German packaging and with English packaging. An advent calendar has to be on the shelf before 1 December, so now is the time to order. Placed next to the calendar, the seasonal squishies create a small Christmas corner at the counter. How to get the stock

MDH sells to businesses only. Register with your business registration or commercial register extract; it takes about 3 minutes. After approval, usually within 1–2 working days, you see all prices and volume tiers and can order squishies together with snacks and drinks in one order.
