Imported snacks and international drinks at wholesale
Customers see Takis, Buldak or Milkis in videos and then ask for them in store. MDH Distribution stocks these international brands for resale: by the case, with no minimum order value and shipped from Mettmann, Germany. Businesses register online and see all prices once approved.
What we mean by imported snacks
These are brands that became well known outside Europe and are rarely found on German supermarket shelves. In our range that means Takis, a Mexican brand, and the Korean brands Samyang with Buldak and LOTTE with Milkis. Cantabile Ade, in pouches with Korean labelling, completes the line-up.
One thing to note for your planning: we name the brand’s origin here, not the country where a particular batch was made. The information on each pack is what counts.
The brands at a glance
Takis: rolled tortilla chips in Fuego, Blue Heat and Queso Volcano, 18 bags of 100 g per case.
Samyang Buldak: spicy instant noodles in Carbonara, Creamy Carbonara, Quattro Cheese and Rosé.
LOTTE Milkis: a fizzy soft drink with a milk and yoghurt note in Original, Strawberry, Melon and Banana, 30 cans per case, with German can deposit. More on our Milkis wholesale page.
Cantabile Ade: fruit drinks in 230 ml stand-up pouches with a penguin design, in Blueberry, Mango, Strawberry and Watermelon, 50 pouches per case.
Why imported products sell
Imported brands bring something familiar brands lack: curiosity. A bag with Spanish wording or a can with Korean lettering makes people pick it up. Many customers already know these products from social media and come looking for them.
For you as a retailer, that sets your shop apart from the supermarket around the corner. Products that took off through short videos are collected on our TikTok products wholesale page.
What to look out for when buying
Buy imported goods from a supplier that issues a proper invoice with VAT shown and is easy to reach with questions. At MDH, the invoice arrives by email.
Original packaging in another language is part of the appeal. Still, check what information is printed on the pack before you list an item, and message us by email or WhatsApp if anything is missing.
Trends come and go. Start with one case per flavour and reorder what moves. Our guide on buying trending products covers quantities and timing.
Which shops imported snacks suit
Kiosks and late-night shops: curiosity is often the deciding factor. A small shelf with Takis, Buldak and Milkis right by the till catches the eye of passing customers too.
Grocers with an international range: Buldak, Milkis and Cantabile complement an existing Asian or deli shelf without you having to build a whole new range.
Online sellers: people search for imported brands by name. Keep proper invoices and check your marketplace’s rules for food products.
Vending operators: Takis bags and Milkis cans are easy to recognise behind the glass, provided they fit the slot size.
Ordering and delivery
Once approved, you order directly in the shop. Goods normally reach German addresses in 24–48 hours, by DHL parcel for €9.99 or by freight for large quantities.
Shops elsewhere in the EU sign up with a valid VAT ID, and we deliver to them too, with route and cost set beforehand. Halal certificates are available for Samyang Buldak and sent on request; for other brands we ask the manufacturer for certificates on request. Our Europe wholesale page explains how it works.
