Avondwinkels and station kiosks: shops that stay open late sell a lot from the fridge and right at the till. Red Bull special editions, 200 ml AMIGO drinks and Takis fit that pattern well.

Tobacconists, toy shops and gift shops: squishies and the Spinner Ball are small impulse items for children and teenagers that need little space next to the till.

KvK extract and VAT ID: what you need to register

As proof of business, upload a current uittreksel (extract) from the trade register of the Kamer van Koophandel (KvK) as PDF, JPG or PNG.

You also enter your btw-identificatienummer, the Dutch VAT ID. It starts with NL, followed by nine digits, the letter B and two more digits. For a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) this number differs from the omzetbelastingnummer, which is only meant for contact with the Dutch tax authority. We need the VAT ID, because that is the number VIES can verify.

Step by step: register, get approved, arrange delivery

After you register, we review your documents while the VIES check runs automatically. Your account is usually approved within 1–2 working days, and you can then see all prices.

With a Dutch delivery address, checkout shows the note “shipping on request”, as we agree the shipping details with you. Send us the items and quantities by WhatsApp or email. We then propose a solution, either a parcel or a pallet by freight, with cost and date.

Mettmann is in western Germany near Düsseldorf. For Dutch retailers, free collection from the warehouse can therefore be an option too, either in person or through your own haulier.

BTW verlegd: invoices without German VAT

With a valid Dutch VAT ID, your invoice contains no German VAT. It is an intra-community supply, and you report the purchase in your Dutch btw-aangifte.

Before you sell: our range is meant for the EU market and comes from official distribution channels. Still check which labelling the Netherlands requires, for instance whether label information must be in Dutch. To help with that, we send documents such as CE declarations for toys or halal certificates for Buldak on request, and special quantity requests are welcome. For canned drinks we clarify per product whether German deposit is charged or removed, since the Netherlands runs its own statiegeld scheme.
