From tabac-presse to épicerie de nuit

In a tabac-presse or bureau de tabac, counter space is limited. Small impulse items such as butter squishies, the Spinner Ball or Toppie Jelly Fruits in the 40 g format fit in easily.

Kbis, SIREN and intra-community VAT number

A current extrait Kbis is suitable proof of business for companies listed in the French trade and companies register (RCS). Sole traders without a Kbis upload comparable proof, such as an extract from the Registre national des entreprises (RNE) or the avis de situation SIRENE.

The French VAT ID is called the numéro de TVA intracommunautaire. It starts with FR, followed by two check characters and your company’s nine-digit SIREN number. Our shop verifies it via VIES during registration.

A note for micro-entrepreneurs: if you operate under the franchise en base de TVA, your number may not be active in VIES. It is best to check this with your expert-comptable first; without a valid number we charge 19% German VAT.

How it works for retailers in France

After registration and approval, which usually takes 1–2 working days, you can see prices and volume tiers. You order in full cases, with no minimum order value.

A French delivery address leads to the note “shipping on request” at checkout, because shipping to France is calculated for each order. Tell us what you would like to order, and we will discuss parcel or pallet, cost and date. For retailers in north-eastern France, free collection in Mettmann with your own haulier may also be worth considering.

Before selling: labels and language

Our goods are intended for the EU single market and come from the manufacturers' official distribution channels. France still has its own requirements, including rules on using French for product information. Please check what applies to your items before selling them; documents such as CE declarations of conformity for toys or halal certificates for Samyang Buldak are available from us on request. If you have special wishes on quantities or paperwork, just ask.

We work in German or English. The shop and invoices come in both languages, and English is perfectly sufficient for orders and questions.
