Kiosk range 2026: Which items are worth stocking
Cigarettes, drinks, magazines – the basic range of a kiosk is quickly explained. What makes the difference are the items customers come to you for specifically. This guide shows how to add trend items to your range sensibly.
1. Social media decides what customers ask for
Many young customers no longer discover products in the shop but on TikTok and Instagram. When a snack or a toy appears in videos, they ask for it at the kiosk shortly afterwards. If you have these items on the shelf early, you win customers who would otherwise walk on.
Typical recent examples: spicy snacks such as Takis and Samyang Buldak, drinks from Korea such as LOTTE Milkis, limited Red Bull editions and Butter Squishies.
2. The right place in the shop
Till: small impulse items such as squishy displays, fruit gums and bars. Here the decision is made in seconds. Eye level on the shelf: trend snacks with eye-catching packaging, several flavours side by side. Fridge: special editions and eye-catching cans at the front, classics behind them.
A small “New” or “Seen on TikTok” sign next to the item helps customers recognise it.
3. Test small quantities, reorder the winners
Not every trend works in every shop. Add new items to your range in small quantities and reorder whatever sells quickly. With a wholesaler without a minimum order value, this is risk-free – at MDH you order individual cartons.
4. Plan the season early
Halloween, Christmas and Easter bring their own items – for example Halloween and Christmas squishies or Advent calendars. Order seasonal goods 3–4 weeks before the start so that the display is in place on time.
5. Checklist
• 3–5 trend items as a fixed part of the range, test a new one every few weeks • Impulse items at the till • Several flavours side by side • Order seasonal goods in good time • Only reorder what sells
